MADRAGOA
Madragoa is now Consonni Radziszewski!
1 March 2026 – 1 December 2027
Press release

Matteo Consonni and Dawid Radziszewski are delighted to announce the launch of Consonni Radziszewski, a synthesis of two pioneering galleries, Madragoa in Lisbon and Galeria Dawid Radziszewski in Warsaw. By uniting their distinct yet complementary philosophies, the new gallery now expands its reach across three European capitals. Building upon its foundations in Lisbon and Warsaw, Consonni Radziszewski will inaugurate its Milan gallery on March 26th, 2026, with a solo exhibition by Buhlebezwe Siwani.

Although Lisbon and Warsaw were once unconventional choices for the global art market, both cities have seen remarkable growth in recent years, emerging as vibrant centres of artistic production. Madragoa and Galeria Dawid Radziszewski have actively promoted local artists on the international stage and brought global perspectives to their respective communities. The Milan gallery will serve as a vital conduit for cultural exchange providing a dedicated platform to cultivate lasting relationships with Italian institutions and collectors. Situated in the courtyard of a 1919 Liberty-style palazzo in the heart of the city, the new venue is an architecturally significant site designed for meaningful encounters. With locations spanning from the Atlantic to Central Europe, Consonni Radziszewski creates a network connecting Lisbon's creative energy, Milan's cultural heritage, and Warsaw's booming art scene.

Consonni Radziszewski operates with a unified program across all three locations, working with a roster of 25 artists, and will present its inaugural program in Spring 2026. Following the Milan opening with a solo show of Buhlebezwe Siwani on March 26th, the Warsaw space will host a joint exhibition featuring Annette Barcelo and Jason Dodge, presented in partnership with Galleria Franco Noero as part of the Constellations invitational program. In Lisbon, a solo exhibition by Tomasz Kowalski will open on May 27th, coinciding with ARCO Lisboa. Consonni Radziszewski will continue its presence at major international fairs, commencing the season in the Established section of Miart, followed by the Galleries section of Art Basel in June.
